1. I’ve had a macbook sitting in a box for about 12 months because I was re-installing the OS from CD and the disk drive broke. Tried to do a bit of an repair job (with no prior knowledge) and opened it up but…that failed. I was wondering if you could provide a quote for repairing/replacing the CD drive and putting the thing back together!

I have a first generation MacBook Pro running OS Leopard It will turn on (the fans start) but it won’t boot – I have tried resetting the PRAM and other reccomended actions from the Apple Website, but with no joy.I work at the Arts University College our technician here had a look at the computer but couldn’t resolve the problem; there is now an OS Leopard boot disk in the drive as well that won’t eject. 3. Hi Unfortunatley I spilt a substantial amount of coffee over my macbook laptop a few weeks back – went over the keyboard. It now won;t switch on. Is there any hope of repairing it – if so, are you able to give me a ball park figure on how much it might cost?

5. Hi there Mac Repair York, I have a French MacBook Pro 15″ Core 2 Duo Model A1211 so the keyboard is AZERTY. I bought a QWERTY keyboard for it and all the connections fitted perfectly but upon boot up, the trackpad now doesn’t work and nor does the keyboard. I switched back to the AZERTY keyboard and that now doesn’t work either! I must have damaged one of the ribbon connectors. I noticed the black connector for the keyboard is broken on top. Why would that stop the trackpad working though? Anyway, I need it fixed! Can you help?
